Bike rental in De Koog
Texel is an island made for cycling: 140 kilometres of cycle path, no hills and sea or polder all around you. From Villa 21 you are on the route within minutes.
Where to rent a bike
In De Koog and Den Burg several rental companies hire out city bikes, e-bikes, children’s bikes and bike trailers. In high season it is wise to reserve, especially for e-bikes and child seats.
Many rental companies deliver the bike to you and collect it again. Ask about this when booking.
Cycling with children
For families there are child seats, trailers and tandem tag-alongs. The paths are wide and cars usually drive calmly, but in the village and on the dike you still need to pay attention.

Our favourite routes
From Villa 21 you ride straight into the De Dennen forest, or take the route along the dunes towards Den Burg and Oudeschild. A loop around the island is about 60 kilometres and makes a fine day trip.
